When I send pictures of my neighborhood
to relatives and friends living abroad,they all say that we are
very lucky to live in Agoura Hills. Most people just dream of taking
a short vacation to spend time in such beautiful setting. And we,
the residents of Agoura Hills, get to enjoy this all year round.
The beautiful Santa Monica Mountains around us are green in winter and golden in summer. Huge oak trees and wild flowers are everywhere. Wildlife still strives here, despite growing development that limits their natural habitat. But make no mistake; this is not a town in-the- middle-of-nowhere. A 10-minute drive along the very scenic Malibu Canyon or Kanan Road takes you to Malibu, the Pacific Ocean and world-known beaches. A 20-30 minute freeway drive takes you to the heart of Los Angeles, or Beverly Hills, or Hollywood and all what these big cities have to offer. We are close to everywhere but still surrounded by open space, with the cleanest air and a relaxed and positive attitude. So next time you are in the area, take some time to come to Agoura, visit oneof our parks and enjoy their magical atmosphere. We do have some good hotels and restaurants if you decide to stay. And then you will understand the reason we call ourselves so lucky… |
